ok busybodies and more busybodies. I guess I have to apologise to Fab for spamming his tagboard once more...
but apologies aside, I think the first 2 weeks of school have been uneventful. I mean, besides starting my music investigation from scratch last Thursday and finishing with a good 2000 plus words and 11 full extracts, I guess that is relatively incredible. Plus I have a powerpoint presentation for it too!
Yesterday was fun, I mean, sitting in an auditorium with great apprehension about what to happen. Seeing our seniors waiting for their results and thinking "ONE YEAR FROM NOW IT'S OUR TURN!! NO!!!!!!!!!". That sucks. Anyway, I do not need to rattle about how good we are. Other people's blogs have it already, and besides, who really reads my blog?! Seeing our school appear on TV, and the celebrated media response, I think we really have to give credit to Dr Ong for introducing the IB programme. And Dr Ong was so freaking happy that he gave today as a holiday without thinking!
So then Chinese results. I was scared and everyone was scared. 6 or 7, SL 2 or no SL2. Glad to say I came away with 7, and no more SL2 yeah! But seriously, thanks be to God, because he promised me one even though sometimes, we do not have faith to receive it.
But finally, I still have more work to do. One more music compo to wrap things up. Almost one year anniversary to "YOUR LOYAL LOVE".
and whoop, I never heard anyone claim "you are my best friend and idol" and I really dont know what to expect so... I'm not an idol. Long long long way to go. I am not even made of stone.

Well here we are. Somewhere we thought we never would be. IB Y2, 18 years old. hmmmmm.... It does good to look back at those times when we were P1, another 11 years to completion of education, and 12 years to NS.
Times change, and we have changed.
So anyway, I think the first 2 days have been great. It doesnt help me thinking of last year where the radio DJ of Gold 90.5 was saying "Another 243 days of the year". Now great, we have landed up here. But 2008 is a crucial time, a time that will not be fun, but one that promises to mould our future. Beijing Olympics will also be held this year, and does it not seem too far away where the Athens Olympics were being held.
But these 2 days have been fantastic. On the 1st day of school, all of us gathered around for small chat once again, saying "Well here we are! Have you done your EE, IA, MI, TOK.... blah blah". Nice to see you guys again, and of course, the unforgettable feeling of seniority when seeing our juniors. I missed you guys mighty lots, the fantastic fellowship at the SAC, and the music listening in class. Well I dont think I was disappointed on the 1st day of school. In fact, I am quite astounded that I find a pack of guys playing cards in our class on the first day of school. Well tradition where we play cards on the last few days of school have been broken and oh! Doesnt it feel like last year?
I think everything today was great and slack except for the discipline briefing today. Not one to slam people but I find this talk pretty weird and rather dumb really.
1) Now guys cant wear black shoes. Great! A total contradiction of what the Student Council told us last year. What is the difference? Why ban black shoes for guys? Scared the guys become to girly? Aww comeon. Surely you can give us better explaination for that besides "Oh it was only for chapel. Black Leather shoes" What utter nonsence. It was a totally different story last year.
2) Gambling. How the heck do you gamble with bridge?! And who the hell wants to bet?! Come on dudes, there is a bridge club in school. So what? They bet? It was like "What the.." And the statement saying "You can play in the comfort of your own homes". Who plays bridge with your parents at home raise up your hands?
Ok I suppose that was pretty dumb. But some points though were relevant and I dont think I need to repeat something we have heard for the last 12 years.
I have spent 12 good years at this school and I think I have learnt a lot generally. GENERALLY.
